Hunting AdakCaribou
The caribou roam freely on the island and access can be challenging on foot in the tundra walking. Adak Caribou hunting is all spot and stalk the good thing is that there's not much cover to hide in so the most important tool is a great set of fully waterproof binoculars to glass with. Swaroski-Zeiss-Vortex work good here in 10x42. You should expect to walk 1-4 miles a day with a day pack of 15-30lbs. As you will need to carry raingear, bibs, lunch, meat bags and knives along with a vhf handheld for safety or Sat phone.
There are no refunds on these trips as its hunting and the only guarantee is we will keep you safe and have the best maintained boats and vehicles on the island.
We strongly suggest that if your looking for a great trip with better weather come hunt in Sept as this still makes a nice cast and blast with local Salmon fishing or Halibut fishing thrown in at no charge on our Deluxe & Platinum packages listed below.
